Today, I'm hoping to finish up applying to JCMU. I'm doing it online, which makes some things a bit easier. And it's saving paper, right? Also, no loose papers to worry about losing or anything. OK, so maybe it's just because it'll be easier to get the recommendation letter things. Even though I say I'll hopefully finish it up, there are a couple things I'll have to wait on: the recommendation letters and my transcripts. Know what's really nice, though? NMU allows you to request transcripts online, so I don't have to make a phone call! I find phone calls to be just awkward, even when you know the person. Call me old-fashioned, but I prefer being able to see the person's face, so I can read them better instead of just going by their voice. Or maybe it's because I haven't talked on the phone much in the last few years, what with Facebook, texting, and things like that.
Anyway, now that I've managed to get completley off topic, let's get back to the point. Today, I just need to run to the Student Services building to get this one paper filled out, then request my transcripts from MSU at the Registrar's Office, then get some more money out so I can pay the application fee, which is $100. Then when I get back to my room, I'll finish up the application online! Well, request transcripts from NMU and request the recommendation letter things.
I was wondering, though: when they ask if I've taken Japanese before, do they mean as of right now, or how much I'll have taken by the time the program starts? I guess I'll be asking them that today, too.
Really, the application is easy enough; you just have to wait a bit for some things to be sent in, as in transcripts and recommendation letters. Finally, soon I will be updating this blog with details about what I need to bring, what I need to do to prepare for next year! For too long it's been just, oh I applied for a passport, or I'm preparing to apply to this or that, or just sitting here all lonesome. Anyway, I need to be off and study for our vocab quiz today in Japanese. It's a normal occurrance, though, these quizzes. It's an off day when we DON'T have one. But that's okay, because it takes me maybe 15 min to memorize the new vocab. Usually.
